I would like an update on this, as i cannot say that this project is just mine, I have had soo many wonderful people, whether they are local to Portland or Washington, or just at Black Rock City that have made BusZilla who she is.
There are the grinders/welders, there are the designers, there are builders, electrical engineers, project managers but mostly everyone on the team is AMAZING 🙂

I dont know where to start… but this is a blog for our mutant vehicle (volkswagen bus) project for Burningman 2009. This will be a sort of “mascot” for VW Bus Camp – for the obvious reasons! lol
My name is Heather, and my partner is crime is Brandon. We currently live in Beaverton, OR. We both have been grease monkeys for much longer than we have known each other.
My very first car, when i was 16, was a 1971 VW Fastback, being a little nieve, I decided to save the car, she (Emma) had major rust, and was not structurally sound… long story short, I cut her and her donor a 1972 VW Squareback, cut at the windshield pillars, and over the rear sill, and lifted the roofline off and placed on the squareback pan. I learned how to weld with this project, my bf at the time, his dad is a pipe fitter, and was the planner, on how to cut, structure, etc (Thanks jim). The car was very solid, the doors fit perfectly, I just ran out of moola… and sold it for what i bought it for… happens like that.
Since then, I have been playing with VW and motorcycles… pretty much non-stop.

I will let Brandon elaborate on himself 🙂
